Anna Pollert

Anna Pollert is Professor of Employment Relations at the University of Greenwich Business School (1998 to present), and was previously at the Industrial Relations Research Unit at the University of Warwick. She studied Sociology at Bristol University, and her main interests are in the areas of gender, work and equal opportunity, industrial relations and labour representation, flexibility at work, and the transformation of the former command economies of Central Eastern Europe to democracy and capitalism. Her research on CEE focused on the Czech Republic, where she conducted fieldwork on workplace change and trade union developments, and at a comparative level, she has also explored transition Poland, Hungary and Slovakia.
