The international operations of Austrian enterprises, especially in Central and eastern Europe, are usually seen as evidence to the fact that Austria is among the ‘winners’ of globalisation, a development ‘we all’ benefit from. in how far, though, does a company’s foreign business actually create advantages or disadvantages for its Austrian employees? By means of qualitative and quantitative surveys carried out among the works councils of major Austrian enterprises, the project investigates the impact of internationalisation, with the aim to assess if and in how far international corporate success is passed on to a company’s employees in Austria. |
