The work of European works councils and the development of transnational bargaining structures require detailed information on the employment conditions and forms of regulation at the various sites of multinational corporations. FORBA is currently working on a follow-up study examining a number of European sites of a multinational pharmaceutical group. In addition to income, working hours, training and company social benefits, the survey investigates the different forms of regulation in place at the individual sites. The survey design ensures that the data are comparable while also allowing for country-specific peculiarities to be taken into account. The study aims to create data for the group’s European works council in order to support the further development of transnational structures of industrial relations. |
