The project aims to gather knowledge on the situation of managers and professional staff and their trade-union representation in the new EU Member States and Croatia. In addition to country-specific definitions of professional and managerial staff, the project aims to describe the trade-union representation of these groups of workers and to identify specificities in the collective bargaining processes and collective agreements negotiated for them. Special attention is paid on the specific situation of professional and managerial staff, including particular services and activities provided for them by trade unions and industrial action they have been involved in. Together with revised reports on the “old” EU Member States, the results will be published in English, French and German in a revised edition of the volume “Professional and Managerial Staff in Europe” first published in 2000. |
